Camellia Odojukan

My journey into interior design began in a vibrant Caribbean household where my mother treated our home as her canvas. Weekends weren’t for rest—they were for transformation. I watched in awe as she rearranged furniture, introduced new textures, and breathed fresh life into our spaces. This wasn’t just decorating; it was creating experiences that welcomed and delighted everyone who entered.

These weekend transformations nurtured my spatial awareness and eye for detail. I learned that a well-designed space isn’t static, it evolves, adapts, and engages all the senses.

The Cultural Influence

Growing up and attending school in the Caribbean blessed me with daily immersion in nature’s most vibrant palette. The azure waters, golden sunshine, and lush landscapes weren’t just scenery, they were masterclasses in colour theory and sensory design.

My cultural heritage taught me that spaces should be felt as much as they’re seen. They should tell stories, evoke emotions, and create moments of joy. This philosophy now infuses every project I undertake.
